Default backup?

im gonna need new HD's soon 4 my Latitutude an Solo, they do that clikcing noise , and i dont want them 2 fail 1 day and lose all my data, if i back the drives up, what would that do? and how do i do that?

drag and drop works for files you wanna backup. if you want to duplicate the drive data then you would need a backup program like norton ghost.

The simple way to back up would be to get a removable hard drive and simply copy and paste everything to the new drive.

Doing that would just make a copy of what you have. If your drive fails you'll need to replace it.

yeahhh, i know JJ, maybe i could get a 2.5-3.5 adapter, plug it into my Optiplex, and copy all the files from the laptop HD's, and paste them on my Optiplex's HD, til i get new drives...
