all my comp does is beep, no sound, no nothing

I have recent drivers for the SB one but none for the VIA one.. I cant find any IM me on AIM @ XtKingbKsundAyX

does ur bios c it, cuz once i had a hd that was hooked up and windows saw it but wouln't operate it until i updated my bios (hd was not supported by the bios due to size) but make sure ur bios c's it

I have the same problem. My sound card is intergradet in the motherboard, and windows says its not there.

I fixed this problem by downloading a program. But I reinstalled windows not too long ago, and forgot to write down the name of the program.

So now I'm without sound again, and I can't find the program. I think it was something like 3dfx sound, or 3d sound, or something in that direction.

Anyone knows what to do here?

Install the drivers and you'll be good to go. (AC97 sound drivers)
