Default Abort Shutdown?

As the topic says. I bet we all have friends that have at some point thought it funny to press the shutdown button on your laptop/computer to see your frustration build up What i'd like to know is if there is any way to run a command/script to abort the shutdown or maybe some program that refuses to shutdown (since windows usually waits for some programs to shut down). Is there any way to abort it? Suggestions are welcome

Googling usually works for most things like this....

tho this may only work with shutdown counters...

Yeah, that one only works if it was initiated by the shutdown command earlier. Im mostly interested in what functions/commands it initiates when you push the button and if there is some way to abort them or halt them somehow. anyway, that info is above my head. But it has always been one of those things that bugs me, that once you or someone else pushes that button you're "helpless".
