The Logitech X-530s are great, I am listening to them now

As far as soundcards, anything from the Creative Audigy or X-Fi line would be great..

x-fi is the most logical choice right now.

If you get a Creative sound card, (especially if it is in the low X-Fi range or better than an Audigy 2 ZS (not value)) it will come with great software.

My opinion would be a Creative. I've been using creative sound cards for a while, and I have had barely any problems. They also sound great!
