hello all...i know my share about computers just not the audio aspect...heres what i would like....i have movies galore on my computers hard drive and also hooked through my tv so i can watch them from my computer...i would like to put surround sound on my computer...just 5.1 would be fine, and would like to know what is descent out there as well as what kind of sound card would be a good combo package with the speakers...im not looking to spend alot...maybe $100, $125 tops all together...sound card and speakers...i currently have a dell with on board 6 ch audio, as well as a 6 ch audio excel av512...are these ok to get good sound from a 6 ch (5.1) computer speaker package or should i consider upgrading my audio card...all help thanked...seasons greetings

alright any one please...and also i think i may get the logiteck x530 for around 50 bucks any thoughts...and also...i would really like a soundcard that will be good for home theatre...maybe have dolby digital in it and have a good speaker/sound mangement in the software...please any thought or leads would be great...my budget is around $100 or less for the card thanks

x-fi is the most logical choice right now.

If you get a Creative sound card, (especially if it is in the low X-Fi range or better than an Audigy 2 ZS (not value)) it will come with great software.

so if i get this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102188 and put it with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836121126 do you think that i will be happy with the way my music and especialy dvd or movies, and be able to utilize a good sound management with the software that comes with this card ..like maybe being able to adjust an individual speakers volume or such tools like this...any suggestions are welcome thanks...again my budget woould be $150 tops for both speakers and sound card |
