Allright, a couple months ago I bought and built a new computer. It started out working good and then started freezing. Now it freezes almost every time I go on. It shouldnt be doing this because I have a bunch of new good parts. It could be a number of things but I'm not completely sure. One person I talk to said overheating but my processor has never gotten over 30 degrees celsius so I doubt thats it. And sometimes the screen just shuts off and says no signal. But my music usually keeps playing without change. Today a window came up that said I needed to update my BIOS and I went to the site and all that good shit but then I called my friend and he said I needed a floppy drive in order to update it. I'm very confused and would appreciate any help. I have added all the components below.
Mainboard : Gigabyte GA-M55SLI-S4 Chipset : nVidia nForce4 Processor : AMD Opteron @ 2200 MHz Physical Memory : 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM ) Video Card : Nvidia Corp GeForce 7900 GT Hard Disk : WDC (250 GB) Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 5.01.2600 Service Pack 2 Monitor Type : ViewSonic VA902 SERIES - 19 inchs Oh BTW, I have zonealarm antivirus installed so I doubt its a virus. Suppost to have bios F6 to run a Opteron, use Gigabytes @Bios or Q-Flash. Have you checked your GPU temps!
