Post Suggested a build, review?

I suggested a build for a friend taking into consideration that he’s a moderate gamer at best so this is what I came up with, with the guarantee of 4-5 years of good use. And the reason why I went retail with core 2 duo is because I figure it’ll help him sell the thing if it had a box in the future.

If you expect to get 4 - 5 years of life out of any computer now-a-days while keeping up with "moderate games" you're pretty much dreaming. Even with the best PC out there, you're looking at maybe 3 years of gaming. Right off the bat, I would say try to upgrade the graphics card. I would say have at least something like Albatron 7900GS HDCP GeForce 7900GS 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814170110) or, if you're really looking for longevity, pick up a good SLI board and at least 1 SLI card. It may be a bit more expensive now, but it'll give you the best upgrade options in the future so you don't have to build a completely new box.

so are you saying with this card he wont even be able to play the games? he isnt looking for the best quality graphics, just enough to play the game without it chopping up everywhere. the question is asking not arguing with your statement.

If you want to get 7900GS
then get eVGA 7900GS KO
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130056

or XFX 7900GS Extreme
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150202

They are both faster than Albatron 7900GS, and cheaper

7600GT can play current games on high setting but it will not be a good performer in future games
