Question Slow my Computer Down?

Hi,

Will getting something like the Windows Vista Inspirat RC1 pack slow my computer down at all?

Is it worth getting, or will it just hinder my computer?

Thanks for the help

I would say, stay away from new software/hardware for a few months because it's usually pretty buggy, not to mention the fact that it just doesn't have the driver support most newer hardware componets need. I know Vista, at the moment, still has a lot of hard-to-find drivers. It shouldn't really slow anything down, per-se... it does have a lot more overhead for the OS, but if you have a 64 bit CPU, you might actually see better performance..... if you can find the drivers you need.

It isn't actually the OS, it's a program that makes your system look and feel like Vista... I was just wondering if there would be any downside to having it?

Ah, so it's basically a skinner.... I would say, unless you have a really slow machine, you should be alright.

Oh yeah, you'll be fine.... again, unless you have a really slow machine.

It's fine. I'm using it myself and I like it for the most part. I've noticed a couple of annoying things, but nothing major.

I couldn't get it to work, I got the little circle for a start button and that was it... I couldn't figure out what to do?

Could you help me out a little please?
