Have you mixed single and double sided dimms?

That is a good question.....have to look. I assume, since you are asking that it matters if you use one or the other?

When I purchased the last stick I only paid attention to that they would all be the same voltage and frequency.

All that matters is they are all single/double sided and the same size. Speed and timings don't because they run at the lowest settings

Huh.....you learn something new every day. I have to admit that (obviously) I did't know that single vs. double sided matters.

Thanks!!

I just checked and I found out that I have 3 double sided sticks and my new one is a single sided one.

How much performance to I loose (raughly) if I run Single Channel vs. Double Channel with 2GB?

You lose roughly 50% of your RAM bandwidth (6.4GB/s max for dual vs 3.2 max for single). How much actual performance depends on what you do. If it's still an option exchange the single sided for a double.
