I've looked into getting an LCD monitor in the past but shied away from them because I do play a fair amount of games and everything in my price range had severe problems when it came to response time.
So now technology has gotten better and I am currently looking at an LG L1919S or a L1952T, both have an 8ms response time and I was wondering if the newer monitors have the same problems as the earlier ones. So I'm looking for an opinion from anyone that has either of these monitors or anyone that has experience with LCD monitors. FYI, most of the games that I play are either sports or racing. |

I haven't had any experience with LG LCD monitors and I haven't heard too much praise from them...

My room mate has an LG 19" he got from Office Max for fairly cheap, if I remember... He's not complained about it, but he also doesn't play games or anything. The bit I've used it, I really can't complain either. The response time was fast(4ms) brightness and contrast ratio's were both good... But of course it all really depends on your model.

Its not so much the monitor itself, its more the technology that I'm wary about. I've done a lot of searches around the internet and all seem to be positive for the models that I'm looking at. I'm just more concerned to whether or not I'm going to have graphic issues when playing Madden or Need for Speed.

I doubt it, I have an off-name brand LCD (Tyris), and it works great, looks great, and i've had no problems with it. As long as there arent lots of negative reviews on Neweggg about quality or dead pixels, it's fine with me
