Default $700 for just the guts!

Hey, after looking at parts for the last three months, Im finally about to buy my computer. I need help figuring out a build. It will be used for gaming, and I want to be able to play almost any game out atleast on decent settings. The budget is around $600-$750 for everything except tower and psu (just bought 650 watt power supply), monitor, keyboard/mouse, speakers. Basically I need everything inside the tower. Thanks in advance!

What brand is the 650W power supply you just bought? Also, how many amps are on the 12V rails?

No, definitely don't get that RAM. I would recommend OCZ, as it seems to be on sale right now.

The only thing I might change will be your graphics card. I would replace it with this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814143071 The only thing is I am not sure if it compatible with your motherboard and how much you want to do gaming.

In the past, OCZ has had problems with Intels. If I were to choose the most compatible ram, I would chose Corsair.

Not saying that your friend is not smart, but being part of the geek squad doesn't make him smart. If, however, the PSU was $100 on sale, it is most likely a good one.
