Default Helping My Friend Build Computer

Hello all!

I need some more help.

I am trying to help a good friend buy a computer. He uses it for general purpose, DVD and some gaming (Doom 3, Rainbow 6 and Ragnarok :S)

I made two systems, I dont know which 1 is better.

Antec Sonata II w/ 450W SmartPower 2.0
Seagate 250GB Barracuda 7200.10 SATA II w/ NCQ, 16MB Cache
Mushkin HP2-6400 High Performance DDR2 SDRAM, 1GB Dual Pack (2x512mb)
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 w/ DualDDR2 800, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, SATA II, PCI-E x16
Intel Core™2 Duo Processor E6600 2.4GHz w/ 4MB Cache
Nvidia 7600GT

OR _______

Antec Sonata II w/ 450W SmartPower 2.0
Seagate 250GB Barracuda 7200.10 SATA II w/ NCQ, 16MB Cache
Mushkin EM2-6400 Enhanced DDR2 SDRAM, 2GB Dual Pack (2x1GB)
Asus P5B w/ DualDDR2 800, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, SATA II, PCI-E x16
Intel Core™2 Duo Processor E6300 1.83GHz w/ 2MB Cache
Nvidia 7600GT

The only difference is the ram (1GB/2GB) and the processor (E6600, E6300)

The motherboards are relatively the same.

Please help me to choose one.

THANK YOU!!!

I would do with the E6300 because ASUS boards are great, and you can always OC the CPU to E6400 performance, although the multiplier isnt as great, you can still OC it a ton. And 2 GBs of RAM is a must no matter what.

How about the E6600 with an ASUS mobo? I deff agree with 2 GB of ram.

Ram over Processor in my opinion. The 6300 i more than adequate.
