Need Help With Decision!!! My Pc For Server!

I am an extreme gamer! My current system is an ASRock 939Dual-SATAII, AMD 4000+, 1GB DDR400, and an ATI X1900AIW. My friend offered me (wicked859) his server (1 Xeon 2.80GHz Nocona, 2x 512MB DDR2 400 DC, 1 PCI x16, 1 PCI x1, 3 PCI, 2 DVD-RW's, and 2x 80GB WD SATAII RAID), and a modded xbox for my pc. I would have $220 bucks for christmas. Would it be better for me to just trade him and put an X1950PRO in it? Would it be faster?

Dude, the CPU alone is worth 5x more than your whole system. The rest of it is gravy. And an extreme gamer with an ASRock board? That board isn't even worth $20. I would say that's an awesome trade and I would jump at it in a heartbeat. Then put your new VGA in it.

Go for it.

Processorwise, no. But the system itself is better.

So, saying i had both computers side by side, with no video cards in them, if i put the X1950Pro in each one, the server would run faster. Right? I feel kinda dumb, i fell like a noob. i mean, to sata hard drives, ddr2, and a xeon. but i just havent ever messed with xeons... kinda never got the chance

Like SirKenin said, your whole computer right now is crap except for the processor and video card. I don't know how well Xeons will do in games, but it would definitely be overall a better computer than the one you have now.
