Default Dual Monitor/ Temperature question

Hi, I just recently built a custom PC with dual video card support. My current video card supports dual monitors. Question one, if I had 2 of those video cards does that mean I can run 4 monitors? (Would make life 4x easier ). Question 2, what is a normal GPU temperature? While playing EverQuest 2 for a few hours my computer got up to about 60 degrees celsius, which is around 140 degrees Fahrenheit, a local computer store said 140 is the max you want to run, BUT I have read in countless spots online that 60 C is normal. Idle is about 40 btw. And question 3, if I were to put the second video card in, would that increase the heat? Or no, because it has a fan on it and they would individually keep themselves cold. Thank you.

I'm not at my home PC right now. But the video card of 60 C I BELIEVE, is an nVidia GeForce 7800+ or something along those lines. Definitely a 7800. Im not sure if I left anything out. [edit] 256 megabytes

Default btw

my cpu usually hangs around 50 to 55 celcius when i have aim msn avg nvidia control panel open and my temperature monitor and soundmax audio idle would prolly be under 55 clecius when i play video game it jumps to ten degrees about 65 celcius and thats normal my cpu can handle up to 80 celcius so its safe 80 is dangerous and 75 is not so good so i wouldnt worry if i was you.

My 7600GT is around 50*C idle and 60's in games. If you look in the setup, there's a shutdown temp, which is usally in the 130's or higher. As long as you're under 70*C, I woudln't worry that much about it. Even that range is OK...

Thanks, my main concern was the GPU video card. I was worried about over heating. The fan was dirty beyond belief , and it was getting temps of 83 C which is 181 Fahreneheit. But after the cleaning it went down to 54-60 C. Glad to see thats fine though. Thanks for your help.

Smile on my video card

slowdown threshold is 125 celcius so thats the only way the video card would slow down if it hit that temperature so you should be pretty safe to overclock for a good while that is if you want to and need to overclock

No, I'm able to run EverQuest 2 at the highest settings with virtually no lag, and the heat still stayed below 60 C. So I dont even see the need to over clock at this point. Maybe in the future though, but by then I'll probably be using a different card/s.
