is it true that if a laptop shared RAM for the GPU then it means that it cant be upgraded?

Upgrading the GPU or the RAM? You can almost always upgrade laptop RAM, but you can hardly ever upgrade a laptop GPU.

almost 100% of the time you can't upgrade the graphics processor in ya notebook, i've never personally encountered a laptop that has that feature. It would be nice if they did, if your bios allows it you could add more ram to ur system then share more to the video card although i'm not sure how much that would help.
