I thought about selling my desktop and buying a new one for gaming. Here are the specs of mine:
Dell Dimension 9100 Intel Pentium D@820 1gb ram(2x512) DDR2 SDRAM PC4300 Nvidia Geforce 6800GS PCI-e 16x Overclocked from factory Sound Blaster Audigy 4 sound card 2 DVD-RW drives Maxtor 250gb SATA hard drive Western Digital SATA 200gb hard drive If I put this on ebay, what could I get for it? What about just selling to an individual? This would not come with a monitor. It is just over a year old. If I bought a new one, I would play games like Battlefield 2142 and use for internet and Microsoft stuff and also music and movies. Would it be worth getting 2 video cards in SLI for gaming? I paid 800 for it brand new but I added the video card, sound card, WD hard drive, dvd drive, and memory myself. One other thing, which is better for gaming, AMD or Intel? I have never had a problem with Intel, but I heard that AMD is better for gaming. Last edited by memory; 12-17-2006 at 05:16 PM. |

Right now I just have Battlefield 2142 installed since I just formatted. But I like to play Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Battlefield 2 and Call of Duty 2 and some other ones.
I would like to have a Intel core 2 duo processor. But if I did just upgrade the video card, the problem is I only have a 375watt power supply. Would that be enough for 2 video cards(maybe a 7900gt or higher) in SLI? |
