So my current system is getting outdated so its time for another thats more with the times. and it looks like the HDD's and optical's are all i can scrounge from the old system.
I want to stick with AMD as the Newcastle has been great. its a budget build with gaming, video playback / editing, and audio playback/editing as its main jobs. Motherboard & CPU: I'm hoping to spend no more then $120-130(CDN) on the motherboard. what one is the best for OC'ing? I'm looking at these three: Abit KN9 Gigabyte M55SLI-S4 Asus M2N4-SLI For a CPU I'm thinking go with the cheap A64 3500+ Orleans and save up for a good dual core and hope the prices drop some while i wait. Video: I'm looking for a cheap card thats on par with what i have now. this is a planed upgrade down the road. maybe a Geforce 6200 for now they are cheap. Ram: Corsair Twin X 2048MB DDR2 800 (TWIN2X2048-6400) Case: Cooler Master Centurion 5 PSU: what your thoughts on the Cooler Master iGreen 600? guess thats all I'm thinking down the road that the CPU can be upgraded like mentioned i can add more ram, and change out the video card for a 8800 when the prices drop. water cooling is also on the back of my mind for it as well. Thanks for reading along and any suggestions you have are greatly appreciated. Joe
