Default Sketchy price on an ASUS board

I just bought this motherboard for $66 open box from newegg: ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe

It's $163 new so around $100 off the new price seems pretty good, maybe too good? Any ideas why it's so cheap as an open box???

Correct me if im wrong, but suppliers dont even try to get full price if the box has been opened/damaged. Even though its only the box and product is perfectly fine, most companys just jack it off cheap, i know where i work does.

I believe open box means that it doesn't include assessories like cables and such. I could be wrong though.

that OEM Open box merely means that the seal of the box is broken, or at least the stuff in the box is accessable. it could be that its missing a few cables or so now.
I think open box merely means there is no guesrantee that all the accesoires are still in the box nevertheless.. even if it would be, still a good deal

Everything should still be in there for open box, it usually means someone RMAd it.

I know what open box means, but I'm just curious why it is so cheap because I saw the same board a few weeks ago for much more as an open box... which I actually bought and it was DOA. Hopefully they aren't sending me the same exact board that I already tried... maybe it wasn't the board that was DOA? I don't know.

Pretty sure thats right, Open Box is one that has been RMA or in other words sent back where a OEM is a new board by itself no extras, I usually stay away from open box stuff!

well if they sell an open box it still has to be working, otherwise you can return it
