Laptop making weird humming noise, PLEASE HELP!!
Laptop making weird humming noise, PLEASE HELP!!
My old COMPAQ P4 512MB laptop is acting preaty strange. Whenever I pick it up or lift it up slightly, a humming noise will emit from the left side of my notebook while the cd drive is on the right side. Its more of a buzzing sound and it is quite loud. If I have a cd in my laptop and I pick it up or tilt it slightly, the buzzing noise comming from the cd drive sounds different. Is this a hard drive faliure, or perhaps something wrong with the fans? |

Could it be the fan? Maybe dragging something?

if it is grinding then it can also be the hdd. mines does that and it still lives on...

my HDs on my Latitude and solo click, but still work, gettin new 1's sometime before i lose everything on them..

yeah, mine laptop HD's have been doing it 4 a while now, and still work fine...
but u should consider gettting a new HD soon..
