Default SATA HDD are not being recognized by my motherboard!!

Okay this is driving me CRAZY

Okay so I got this new Western Digital 160 HDD SATAII and for some reason it doesn't work with my motherboard... never had a SATA on this motherboard

This is what happens... I turn on my computer and BIOS says that it can only find one HDD and that is my IDE HDD. Windows loads and I only see my C drive and not the 160 SATA.

My Specs:
EpoX EP-8HDAI PRO
Western Digital 160 SATA
Windows XP Pro (also 64bit)
what else can I give out

Oh one more thing... My Windows goes crazy telling me to install the RAIN drives... Do I really need them?
