Default Robotics project

Well this is for robotics class at school. I'm so far ahead of my classmates that the teacher gave me a new and difficult project to work on.

He wants me to make robots to play baseball. One offensive robot, one defensive robot.

All I want right now is ideas. Here is what we're working with:

A 4' by 8' (approx) board with 2x4 sides
Legos
XBC controllers, Handyboards, and RCXs (any of the three)
Motors, Servos
Touch sensors, light sensors, infrared sensors, SONAR, cameras and vision(XBC only)

I've gotta be creative, but I'm at a loss of where to really start with this.

just realised that we never sorted out that XBC botall question a while back, did you get to grips with Interactive C?

as for ideas, dont get ahead of yourself... have you tried to make a line follower? you'll need IR transmitter and recievers
