Hello there!
I'm going to be opening a basic and simple website soon. The most important part of it is, I have to have an online shopping cart(to sell CDs). I signed with Bravenet, but still haven't bought a domain name yet. My question is, what's the best host for building a website with an online shopping cart, and what would it cost monthly? Of course I would like to go with a cheaper program, but I really need an online shopping cart. Thanks! for jjsevdt, if you read this, I haven't been on for a while and I tried to send you a pm but I keep getting an error message. Last edited by js2006; 12-23-2006 at 11:47 PM. |

Focusing on the 'Online Shopping Card'
Are you in the US or UK? In the UK, I would go with BT. www.bt.co.uk Im not sure about the US, although I will do some research for you. Adam

If you do go with a big telecoms/domain/webhosting company in the US, you will have better security etc with the shopping cart system.
This will be for both yourself and the customer. Adam

Thanks for the replies!
I would like to go with a free shopping cart but if there might be a security issue I think I'd be better off going with a safer program, I would imagine this would not be free. But in the long run it's better to be safe. I guess I'll try a google search, I appreciate your replies, I'm learning alot about business and computers in a very short span of time. |

You may want to look at dreamhost, they are pretty good but if you are expecting a huge number of visitors/customers to your website you may want a dedicated server, DH offer zen-cart as a one click install, and you get a free domain, so if you want ti simple they will pretty much do it all for you.
