is this internet connection good?

Well we are finally moving up to highspeed, due to me exclusively.... (ie i'm paying for it even though mom and dad are probably gunna use it) but the thing i'm worried about is if the upload speeds are gunna be fast enough to play games online.

speeds:

1mbps down
256kbs up

so will this allow me to play online games such as Battlefield 2, 2142, Vietnam, MOH: PA, Farcry, UT07, CS: Source ect. ect.

i know i'm kinda getting ripped off though cause its $57 a month for it.....but i'm desperate and i hate dial-up with a passion.

256kbps up is about average even for a 2mb connection, so that's pretty good.
