Hey, I've been trying to get a PS3 for my friend like bad, I've got an extra one, but my Grandpa says he interested, but he's only interested in the Blu-Ray, he wouldn't use anything else, so I need to find a blu-ray player that's under $600, if that's even possible... I really hope it is cuz yeah... I really want to get online and play Resistance with someone I know, lol... I looked on Newegg, the cheapest/only there is $700, does anyone have any ideas?

I would rather get HD Dvd anyway. In my opinion blue-ray is not going to make it. HD dvd is cheaper too.

Make your grandfather wait, you dont need a blu-ray player for a long while (if it even succeeds), just sell the PS3 to your friend and your G-Pa can get a cheap player in the future.

You can buy them on Newegg for around $600. If you want cheaper, check out eBay.

As far as I was told the BluRay consoles only play videos (no recording). But the BluRay burners that go into a computer case can play and record. I saw a Samsung for $500, here. (Its the second to bottom on the list) http://www.supermediastore.com/blue-...-recorder.html
I actually just noticed that they are out of stock. They had them 2 days ago But the $500 price was the MSRP when it was released in February 06', so I think you could get it for less if you shop around a little. I wanted to ask why is this model $500 and when all the others are way more expensive? Dont they all just play and record in 1920 x 1080 resolution? SO what's the difference?, perhaps you can tell me, if you study them. P.S. If your just looking for looking a BluRay payer; the kind that sits on top of your TV, I just saw some for $560 on amazon. Good luck. |
