what are the rules? i have to know cuz i do buy thing from internet and most of them are from UK or US or Germany.
so if u live in one of those three countries please write some rules about buying from internet.

rules in Sweden:
if you buy sth from internet (Swedish sites)you can give it back if the thing has been cost more than 300kr(around 28 euro i guess)
you have two weeks two give it back and then u gonna have your money back.

Well, if you mean returns policies for online purchasing, this varies depending on which company/organisation you purchase from online. The most common though is something along the lines of:

Item is returnable before 7 days if unwanted, warranty usually lasts up to a year and during this time if it gets damaged you can have either a full refund or a replacement sent out to you. (IF this is what you mean, and this is for the UK).

Could you elaborate on what you mean by rules? Do you mean terms and conditions, policies, trading laws?

warranty lasts a year fella but you can't get a full refund in that time, its a fixed or replaced item.

Most UK items will come with a 14 day money back guarantee, some will come with a 30 day exchange policy where you can exchange the item for something different within 30 days (but not a refund after the 14 days)

Well I have been able to get full refunds with EBuyer during the 1 year warranty stage. I even sent back a whole system that was 11 months 3 weeks old (1 week to go until all components lose warranty cover) and managed to get a full refund on the entire system (some components were faulty but not all, and I managed to get a full refund on the non faulty components also). I've sent back many components and had full refunds on them during the warranty stages (a few months after having them).

Once we have verified the fault, we'll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse your reasonable return carriage costs. Items Faulty in Warranty Period

If any of your purchases develop a fault, and it's more than 28 calendar days since receipt, then provided your item is within its warranty period, you are entitled to a warranty repair. In some cases, manufacturers provide a specialist full on-site service and/or telephone help facilities for your convenience which we recommend you use in order to correct the fault quickly. For business customers all warranty repairs after 28 days of receipt are referred directly to the manufacturer ( unless otherwise stated)
thats ebuyer's return policy, note that after 28 days its stated a repair will be made and not a refund.

IF you managed a refund after the 28 days then thats very rare and not something that will happen often at all. Its just not standard procedure in any sale.

In general you will have a 14 day (sometimes up to 28 as shown by ebuyer) money back guarantee, after that its a warranty repair or replacement

Well that is interesting, because I have got full refunds on every item returned to Ebuyer. Inc. a graphics card, a HDD and now my entire system (inc all components). And this was done throughout the year after a good month or two from purchase. Although you are in fact correct on the 28 - 30 return policy. I'm utterly bewildered on this.

:: Edit ::

Just rang them again (third time today, a different customer service representitive each time) and all three have confirmed a full refund on all items that I returned last week (6 days before their warranty expires).
