Unhappy very weird problem (part 2)

there's another one. The pc has a network card (realtek--the one on gigabytes boards) ..its installed correctly and under device manager it says that the device is working properly. But actually its not. when u go to network connections u dont see the LAN connection, u dont see the little icon where u click on to check status or change ip etc....network connections is empty. So i go to prompt and type IPCONFIG and it hits me back with this "WINDOWS IP CONFIGURATION"..thats it and it puts me back to my prompt again without showing any info on ipconfig..really weird so i put in another NIC and installed but still the network connection area reamain blank..WTF could be doing this.

(i notice that when creating a new connection to the internet,i can see my cards but it says that they are not connected...and ask me if i wanna ignore and continue).....

ANY SUGGESTIONS ?
