Ok, well, the main reason I signed up to this forum was for advice on building a new computer.
I've had the same one for as long as I remember, and some bloke had done various upgrades over the years (proccesor, motherboard, HD etc). Anyway, recently my computer went a bit screwed and I decided to buy a new one. I thought it would make more sense building one myself though. One of my main concerns really is getting stuff to work in harmony. I don't want to buy a processor that doesn't work on my motherboard etc, and that's where my main problem is. Other than that, assembling should be ok (found some good online tutorials) and I should be able to get some good deals online. Also, not to do with this but does anyone have any advice on Formatting a drive? I need to reboot my Windows, but by typing 'Format C:' it said about unmounting the drive, and when I actually boot it comes up with the error ' File asc.sys caused an unexpected error (8192) at line 3540 in d:/nt/base/boot/setup/setup.c' So, any help would be greatly appreciated. And also, how long roughly do you think it will take to have the finished product up and running? Cheers Guys Twix
