Default I need a scanner that doesn't need to connect to a PC

Hi there!

I've got a problem with my computer's operating system that doesn't allow me to install some hardware. (I'll be getting this fixed though)

In the meantime, I'm looking for a flatbed scanner that doesn't need a PC to operate. I'd be ideally looking for one that I could scan pictures in, before transferring the files via a USB pen.

Do they exist?

Default scanner question

Check out the Epson CX5000. It is a scanner-printer combination and has slots to plug in memory cards for direct print out's without the use of a computer. Walmart has these for less than $100 but buy extra ink, those provided are nearly empty.
