Lightbulb Flashing graphic card memory?

I own a x700 series AGP graphic card which has 128mb memory. I found an ATI bios editor program which allows you to change the video memory. If i changed the memory from 128 to 256 and flashed the bios with this change what would happen?

Any help would be great =)
