is there any software like acid pro that is free? something to mix sound with and have different tracks on top of each other?

the first couple of pages are good but after that kinda weans out. list should be summed and turned into a sticky. or make a url data base and app names and catagories.

Audacity is the best program out there for that for free, IMO.

Audacity is for recording audio, not so much of looping sounds and tracks

Great job..keep it up. but u have missed couple of categories...

like firewalls & security, File sharing, Desktop, Audio & video etc.

if u include this ..it would be complete list
