Default AGP question

I have an old nvidia 64mb agp2x and its fits my new and old board agb slot fine, but when i have a radeon 9250 128mb agp8x it only works on my new board with an agp8x slot. when i attach it on my old board with agp2x and install the VGA drivers the screen is unusable.

so my question is.. is there a way i can use a vga card with agp8x on my old board with agp2x?

Default Theoretically Yes, But Realistc NO

AGP x1,x2 run at different volts than x4,x8 It is like difference between PII and PII Slots on a MOBO. Not the best explanation but hope it helps
