Default When do prices lower after Christmas?

Maybe prices don't go down all that much or at all but I was under the impression one of the best times to build (from a bugit prospective) is after Christmas/New Years. In general when would you guys expect the prices to be a bit lower? It probably makes the biggest difference for prebuilt systems, but is there an advantage for me to wait until mid January to buy?
Thanks,
TherealChessnut

Ive noticed alot of stores already have sales on in the Uk.

I was looking around the shops the other day and i went into one shop and a game called Prey was £8 but then i went into another shop and it was £29

Exactly the same cover/Game.

Some stores have sales on and some dont...They are just exactly the same price as they were previusly but they still have a big banner outside saying "Sale now on" They think we are stupid.

Alot of stores around my area in the UK started the sales Christmas Eve, but due to sunday trading laws they weren't open very long. Boxing Day is usually the time they start the big sales.

The lowest prices seem to be right now, I'm not sure about online stores, though.

Online stores dont really drop in price on black friday or after christmas, it's usually just retail stores that do that to draw in new customers.

ya I haven't noticed any significant price drops at stores like Office Max, Meijer, etc.

Alright, thanks guys.

I was mainly wondering about newegg... but it makes sense if online stores don't have much of a price drop.

Newegg just has random deals throughout the year. I did see that they had quite a few discounts on Black Friday tho.
