hi, my hard drive had been making an odd sound for about 9 months. i have attached a link to the sound, but the sound is only heard when i out the computer under alot of stress (copying 100Gb to a new HDD). The rest of the time it is relatiely silent unless it acesses a file.
any help will be greatly appreciated http://d.turboupload.com/d/1376339/h...noise.wav.html |

Wow, am i right in saying that the constant tick-tick-tick like a metronome, is that the HDD? If it is i would start backing up EVERYTHING right now... It definitely should not be making that noise at all
The normal HDD access sounds you hear in the background are perfectly normal though dragon
