Don't know where you live but I use Karoo the independent provider in East Yorkshire owned by Kingston Communications. Outside of this area they also provide BT customers using ECLIPSE, a part of Kingston Communications.

I've used them for 5 years and never had a fall out yet

sounds promising. im a bit further north, the next major city past leeds or york :-)

i'll check em out aswell!
