Default Can I use my HD ready tv to view hd video from my pc??

Hey I was just wondering if its possible. I have a free HD port on my tv and my graphics card also has a DVI port, whick i hear can broadcast HD. Thanks

Do you mean you have an HDMI, DVI, VGA, or Component video on the back of your TV? If it's DVI, yes you can easily connect them, but if it's HDMI you will need a converter (under $10 on newegg).

hey thanks for replying.my tv has hdmi and pc has dvi.i have seen cables like that, one side hdmi and the other dvi.Sorry forr the use of the term "port" i assume that its wrong:]
all excited now!bout seeing wot real HD lOoks like!

All computer monitors above about 800X600 are considered High-Definition, so you have seen HD before. And to repeat what was said earlier, you may want to shorten your signature, only ten lines allowed.

even if it were dvi, you'd need an adapter

monitors and tv's use different dvi cables

I see 10 lines exact in his sig...oh, and someone else told me that anything form 1200x1024 and up are HD. Where did this 800x600 come up as HD?

There are different grades of HD, like 720p, 1080i, etc.
