Question Random Restarting?

Hey,

When playing games on my PC, like F.E.A.R and Oblivion my computer will sometimes restart during the game, it doesn't allways do it, only sometimes...

Any idea whats causing this?

Thanks, Danny...

Did you run all the standard virus/spyware checks?

How are your temps?

are you overclocking any components?

if you are then bring the clock speeds down a little bit.

Yeah, I've ran all scans and nothing... My temps are fine, when idle the CPU is 35c and when playing games about 41c...

Nope, I haven't overclocked any of the components...

sounds like your GFX card is being over loaded. It heats up and the fail safe restarts the comp. but you have a pretty decent GFX card so hmmm, maybe the athlon 2400+ cant handle that card?
But your gfx card is some how connected with the issue.

No, it's probably not the CPU. I think you may have a power supply issue.

I agree with zen, before you go buying new hardware, change the HD.

If your temp is running at 41 during game play, its not the power supply.

If it still continues, then check into buying a GFX card.

You could try, but don't go buy a new one.

What in the world do these two statements have to do with each other?

What would that fix?
