Default Wassa good program?

An Anti virus program.
That if it detects or finds a threat, it deletes it.
Iam currently using AVG and i dont think its working.

And maybe a good firewall and spyware protection.

iam not keen on buying it.

thank you

I haven't run a firewall in years either, it's really not that important. Avast has very good on-access protection, and Windows will keep out the hackers well enough.

i dont use virus checkers, they slow down the pc and can stop internet from working with their stupid firewalls.
i use windows firewall and my netgear firewall thats on my router.

You contradict yourself 3 times here.

1. Virus scanners do not have firewalls
2. Virus scanners do not slow down the computer at all, except when you are running a test (which could be at 3 am)
3. Virus scanners cannot stop internet from working
4. Antivirus software is more important than a firewall.
