exactly, i havent got the computer at the moment, i rarely use now, i guess im better just to wait for a new one rather than spend money upgrading on something ill replace within 6 months. I dont know whether building a computer is for me as i cant really justify spending extra time/effort/money on something im unlikely to make proper use of, i'll probably find me a stable build, maybe upgrade one or two things.

thanks for your help.

No, he said he wants a new CPU, and maybe a mobo if it is necessary.

and he has never even responded anyway meaning he has never had a say...
so then why do you have the right to speak for him?

wtf? a new CPU and a new mobo is essentially a new computer, i mean you dont get those parts just to "get you by"
Which is exactly why I said what I did.

Could you just stop? Like now? It's getting really annoying to have to point out the truth to you every 2 minutes.

Upgrading the RAM wouldn't be a bad idea, you would certainly see a performance boost. But yes, waiting is a good choice.

How do you win?

All along Bobo was saying that huntleth shouldn't upgrade his processor, and just to wait until he can buy a new computer.
You were saying to buy a computer instead of upgrading.

Don't those sound just about the same?

Ya but he's waiting like he originaly proposed to do. You wanted him to go out get the parts and build a computer...now. Bobo only wanted to put a few upgrades in to tide him over until he did upgrade which he was inevitably going to do.

And he still doesn't shut up.

Could somebody please close this? The question has been answered sufficiently.
