Logitech LX7. I have it for my desktop, kicks all other meeces butts.

Yes you can. There is absolutely no difference, laptop mice are just generally made smaller and more portable.

well im gonna be gaming...but is it worth it? maybe theres another mouse someone can point out that rivals the G7 in performance but not money?

response time and smoothness...comfortability and battery life; that kinda stuff...
