Default still haunted after 3 days of work on pc

Hello
I have just reinstalled xp and scanned everything with several antivirus, adware spy-ware. my AVG every 15 min. or so pops up saying i have a Trojan horse lop AS in my temporary folder.
if i heal it or quarantine it it says it worked. how can i get rid of this annoyance that keeps interfering with everything just by popping up and is it even a real threat?
thank you
rob

i'm not sure if this is any help but it says lE5/GEW4KU24 i empty my temp. folder a few times a day. when i hit heal in the AVG box it says it's healed. when I hit quarantine it says it's done when i hit ignore it doesnt seem to mater either. just got one that is lE5/SOE150H/lo7[2] just noticed the slashes are not forward but i don't see a backward slash on my keyboard.
thanks

well, if it is in your temporaty folder and AVG says that it is getting rid of it, you must be going to some website that keeps putting the same thing on your computer.. That would be my guess....

i think your IE is infected and every time you click to go online even to your home page, it reinstalls what ever it is.

uninstall IE, get rid of the trojan and reinstall IE.
