Arrow Download manager/Accelerator

Alright guys,

Anyone recomend me a good Free download manager/Accelerator that you use for Firefox?

Last free one i used kept cutting out my downloads half way through
Cant remember the name of it though.

I know theres probably many but i would like to see what you guys use.

i use flash get, it doesnt ask me for serial or sth. i ont know why i just downloaded it from its site.

Thats flash get is what kept killing my downloads half way through

I'm using Download Accelerator Plus. It is free and works pretty well too. You can get it at http://speedbit.com/.

I'll have to try Flash Get. Never used it before.

I wouldnt recomend trying that Flashget

flashget is the best download accelerator. it has not ads and stff like that. it is also compatible with windows vista.
in DAP(download accelerator plus) there is many ads, is not so fast.

Do Download managers/acelerators really work ? i have always thought about installing one and trying but never got round to it. how do they make a download faster ?

yes, and lot....
for example when im downloading a video in IE or Firefox, the speed is 150 but when i download with flash get my speed is 600.
and when you use download accelerators you can pause and resume downloads.
they got download logs and ....

DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) works by getting all the websites that has the file, and downloading from all of them. But as alexandergre said and in my opinion, it doesn't get a whole lot of websites and the speed isn't much faster.
