Default Easy Mixing RAM Question (I hope, please)

Hi, I've been running a half gig of ram at 266.

I bought 1 GB of ram to add onto my motherboard...It is 333.

My mobo is dual channel (2 slots 256 mb (233) and 1 slot filled 1 gb (333))

I'm wondering...

A) Am I better off running 1.5 GB at 233 or 1 GB of 333??

B) How does dual channel affect this? Is it running off the 2-256 RAM cards first or am I basically running at 1.5 GB of 233 the whole time? Is there a way to know which slot it goes to "first" (that is, does it matter which channel the 1 gb is in?)

Thanks, I really hope someone can help me. I registered because I couldn't find answers to these anywhere else.

Again, thank you.

233? Do you mean 266?

It's not running dual channel.

A) You're better off running the 1GB at DDR333

B) To run memory in dual channel, you have to have two sticks of the same size.
