Default What PDA to go with?

I have $250-300 to spend on a PDA/HandHeld, I never had one so I have no clue at what I should be looking for, so if you know a PDA that will fit me please post .
First of all I have a couple of questions.
1) What is Wi-Fi is it WLAN, can I connect to my wireless (internet) with Wi-Fi PDA?
2) How much Mhz do I need to play movies without lag?
3) What is the best brand for PDA?

What I look in PDA is:
1) Can connect to wireless internet (wireless internet cable hub at home/school)
2) Good organizer so that I can enter HW assignments and stuff like that.
3) Good battery life because I want to use it as Video/MP3 player when I travel.
Thats about it, thank you very much for ur help

both 1's-yes
first 2-anywhere over 200mhz on a palm and you'll be good, but more the better. i get a timy bit of lag on 700 meg 2 hour movies with my 312 mhz palm, but i think it's the slow sd card because overclocking 75 mhz helps none.
first 3-in my opinion palm, but dell is ok i guess
second 2-all can do that
second 3-look for reviews. palminfocenter.com is good for that for palm ones.

hope that is not too confusing

for you i'd suggest the palm tx, good handheld with ok battery life, a big high rez screen and wifi for internet. and right inside your price range.

Just a quite note about movies... I had a Dell Axim X5, and my friend got an X3(the model after the X5) Both were 400MHz, but his played MUCH better videos than mine... This is before the dedicated VRAM and all were QVGA, it just played movies much smoother and everything than mine.

For the most part, a Palm based device is more for basic organizing stuff, and a PocketPC(Windows) device is more multi-media.

The Cingular 8125 has Wi-Fi and E-connect to let you connect anywhere. It comes with Media Player and plays video pretty good. It takes a mini sd card to expand you memory and has 64mb of ROM without the card. It is also in your price range and has an entire slide out QWERTY keyboard but is a little bulky.

I will probably go with Dell or HP because I deff need Wi-Fi and I prefer windows OS then Palm + the new Palm TX doesnt have removable battery which I will need when I travel so that instead of recharging I'd plug in a new battery.
I would like to know if all the Pocket PC with Windows Mobile 5.0 are able to play movies, because all the reviews on cnet say that the PDA plays MP3's and they never mention anything about movies.
Thank you

Yep, I watched the video and read some reviews on Palm/HP/Dell and figured out that.
1) Windows Mobile 5.0 is the best way to go for me.
2) Dell X51 can play movies pretty good
3) Dell X51 has the best battery life when Firmware is upgraded (on min brightness it can run for about 10hr, good enough for me. Or 4hr with Wi-Fi on).
4) Dell X51 has removable battery

PS: One question though, does Dell X51 have Wi-Fi wireless internet?

Thank you

1) WM2003 is better, in my opinion. Better layout, and more compatability for older programs.

2) About as well as any other 512MHz PPC
3) TOTALLY untrue. Unless you're refering to the expanded battery pack, don't expect anything near 10 hours. And don't plan on staying under $300 either. I'm pretty sure even the cheapestx51 (400MHz, non-wifi) is more than $300
4) Yes
