Default installing of motherboard and cpu?

hi all i just want to know i am thinking of buying intell pentium 4 3.2e ghz prescott 1mb cache cpu
and i want to know can i install that cpu with the motherboard i already have which is >>asus a7n8x-x nforce2 motherboard?
all do i need to install another motherboard if so what would be the best motherboard to go for thanx all .......................

you need another motherboard, the one you have is AMD based. The asus p4x800 series is pretty good, unless that prescott is in the LGA775 package then a 915p based board is a good choice

I have that cpu as well and I'm thinking of getting the Abit IC7-G. I seems to be a great motherboard.

Well you are gonna need another board too because the IC7 is a socket478
