Nokia N-Gage

hi, well people I have a very serious problem
about a year ago, i bought this phone
i had a laptop back then, with windows xp
when i first connected my phone to the laptop, it worked, the computer saw the device
now, i have a new laptop, and i tried to connect my ngage with the computer, but my stupid laptop doesnt recognise the device
so now i have a huge problem, cos i have to get some important data on it!
i use the cable that came with the phone, a Nokia "type DKE-2; IK38965262", a USB cable
does somebody know what to do?

ps: i'm kinda new hear, so please go easy on me if i posted it ín the wrong sub-forum, aight? thx

was tehere any software that came with that? driverse?
check nokia website
