Default dual boot question

Hi all, i am new to the computer forums and I was hoping you all could help me.

I recently got my hands on a Windows Vista distro and I am dual booting it and XP.

My question is if there is a way to use both at the same time.

Example: I am in Vista and want to look at a document on my XP partition. I want to open up a window or something where I can open my XP partition on it and run XP while in Vista and vice versa.

Thanks guys

Yes you can. The XP partition acts as another hard drive, which you will be able to see in windows vista. So you should be able to access your files either way.

That's not what he's asking.

The only way you can do this is with Vista Enterprise. Is that the version you have?

No, I have Vista Ultimate.

And while I can see my XP partition and most of the files on there they are secured so that I cannot access them or edit them.

Does that help you Bobo??

Would this be when a virtual PC would come in to use?
