Are you trying to burn to dvd-rs or simply drag to dvd-rws? If you get stuck with some bad media that's unreadable you can run into that type of error. While seeing great burns to dvd-rs the container of dvd rewritable disks tried and failing here may be from a bad batch. Can you read from any premade or disks you burned before seeing this problem?

If the disk is RW you might have to erase the old data, then write the new.

You need to be using a dvd bruning program with a dvd that is able to be burned to. Can we assume you are doing this?

I know the Sony dvd burner here is a little headache with dvd-rws while seeing great results with data and video dvds as well as vcds. For some reason you can't drag any files onto any of the disks in a new 50 pack of believe it or not Sony dvd-rws!

Occasionally you will run into a bad batch of disks if you go through enough of them. I've seen bad dvd-rs by differnent brands with the same kind of "Track data 00002038A-392*** tda" mumbo on them where the disks had to be tossed. Occasionally I've tossed a few cd-rs as well out of 100count containers new. Dvd-rw are not for burning to like the read only type. Those are for direct copy of files and being erasable while the "Rs" are read only with the burn once when full or burn again where space is left type, That becomes a permanent disk there. The dvd rewritables are like putting an oversized zip disk or floppy in where you simply drag and drop not burn to.
