Default Hard Disk issues

So, today I started my computer to have some startling issues arise. I started it up, booted to my 20GB IDE hard disk that XP is installed on, and instantly get the request to check my SATA 250GB drive for errors. Well, apparently the crap hit the fan, and it spent like 6 minutes running through corruptions and such. Well, now I have a single partition accessible on the disk. It's seperated into a 40GB Vista partition, 2 75GB Music/video partitions, and lastly a 45GB misc data partition. The music/video/misc are all FAT. Well, now the three latter partitions are no longer there. I am currently booted into PCLinuxOS, hoping that maybe this Linux distro would find the partitions. I wouldn't mind some tips on where to continue from here. I really do not want to lose my data!
