Lightbulb Movie Intro.

How do I get a movie file. Maybe a Quicktime to play before you enter the official site. Like an intro.

I am using Freewebs. I want it to have the video in middle, banner top and maybe a SKIP INTRO button

I guess I have to upload video first. Then what to do?

I have more questions but I dont remember at this moment.

Thanks,
Warriorhazzard

Alright,

Basically when you enter a website (www.benjidela.com for exemple) your browser looks for www.benjidela.com/index.html.

So just create an index.html with your video embed in it. Then put a button "next" for exemple to go to the next page. I use Flash for intro, your video might be very long to download...

I see. Thanks. I need the video now

One more question. How do I get the ICONS next to the tab of the page you are viewing. Like CF has one.

Thanks

They are called favicon - 16 x 16 pixels.

Read about them here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon

I am looking forward to putting some Google Adsense on my page.

Is it all legit and really works, can I cancel at anytime?

Adsense pays you when people go on your website or click on the links I don't remember exactly. If you want to do a small personal website, don't use them, it makes people go away. use them if your website will be in commercial purpose.

My favicon is not working anymore?

This is what I have...and ofcourse some more stuff after that.

Code:
<HTML><HEAD>

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://img358.imageshack.us/img358/332/nicecopydz2ex4.jpg" type="image/x-icon"/>
Any clues anyone?

Works great unless you get people to click it on purpose. My clan tried it and we all clicked it every day. We made $100 dollars because they werent "Legitamite clicks" LoL. sure they were we were interested in all those advertisements. Aparently they watch pretty closely to the IPs and stuff to make sure they arent fraud...especially if you start making a fair ammount of money. There were a couple things that were stupid like you couldnt get your money until you had over $100. But i think in a real setting where you werent trying to "work it", it'd work great.

About Favicons, From wikipedia:

Quote:
* It has been suggested that both of the following XHTML element types should be included:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://example.com/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
<link rel="icon" href="http://example.com/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
However, only the former is necessary, as "shortcut icon" will be treated as a list of possibilities by standards-compliant browsers (with "shortcut" being ignored, and "icon" used); whilst Internet Explorer will treat it as a single name ("shortcut icon"). The result is that all browsers understand the code. It is only necessary to include a second piece of code if one desires to offer an alternative image to modern browsers (e.g. an animated GIF).
Could it be somethign with browser?
