Decoding

I was looking at speakers and I noticed that the klipsch promedia 5.1 speakers dont have decoding. What is Deconding in speakers and will it matter much?

And if you had to pick, would you get the klipsch promedia 5.1 thx certified (not ultra) or the logitech z5450?

Most PC Speakers rely on the sound card to do all the decoding. I believe my z-5300's dont have a built-in decoder either.

Klipsch are very good quality speakers i would would recommend you get them
