Right now i have an HP (amd 3000, 80gb hd) with an ATI x1300 pro and a gig of ram. I play a little of DoD which runs great and i love Battlefield 2 but i have to run it low-to-mid and it loads extremely slow. Would it be worth building my own rig right now with only like $550-$650 to spend? I'm looking at single cores, amd 3700-4000, 250-320gb hd's, geforce 7600 gt's, and other stuff that is better than what i have but not very expensive. What i'm questioning though is everyone is going dual core and getting ready for directx10 and all this other stuff so would it be worth it or should i just wait? Also, with the new games coming out i've heard 1gb ram might not be as sufficient as it is right now (people saying 2gb is what is going to be needed).
Build a decent pc or wait? |
